Understanding Multiplicative Relationships: An Introduction to Proportionality
Share

Description

This product is a template. First, model how to use the template using a real world example from your life. In order to build relationships with students and make progress towards goals, use appropriate context vocabulary to elicit classroom communication.

To implement, watch the "Teaching Multiplicative Relationships" video for a sample lesson. Think of your own examples to get started. This is engaging to students. They want to hear about your life.

Once students show mastery of the template, continue to build on the content standards across all curriculum subjects. Ratios are fun, easy to understand, and lead students to proportional thinking. Understanding proportions makes for an easier transition into algebra.

The sample lesson video is not available at this time. Additions and edits are needed. Stay tuned! The lesson notes are available via the following link https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Understanding-Multiplicative-Relationships-2854452

This break down is what I was looking for, there is a couple I can add to it, but it is a great start for what I was looking for for my classroom library,
