Description

Make learning about patterns fun with this low prep center to help your students practice the skill of extending patterns that have already been started! This math pattern activity is easy to prep and easy for your students to do independently!

This extending pattern center supports students who are still learning to create their own patterns since the core or root of the pattern is already provided! This resource also exposes students to different pattern types to stretch their thinking!

What's Included

  • 6 different pattern types (AB, ABB, AAB ABC, ABCD, ABCC)
  • 4 opportunities to practice each pattern
  • Space for the pattern to continue
  • Patterns can be kept as whole sheets or cut in strips so students can have access to multiple patterns at once!

Once students know how to use these patterning activity mats, they can be placed in morning tubs or given for morning work to reinforce the skills they have learned!
