Description
This is a phonics word sort that is aligned to McGraw-Hill's Reading Wonders* series for Unit 3 of first grade. There is a phonics sort for each week of Unit 3. These phonics sorts can be used in a center, as a small group activity, or independent work.
My students cut and glue their phonics sorts into their phonics notebooks. However, how you choose to use these with your students is up to you (and I've love to hear how you use them!)
Week 1: long a_e words
Week 2: long i_e words
Week 3: soft c and soft g
Week 4: long o_e words and long u_e words
Week 5: /u/ spelled with oo or u

These are a wonderful resource!!!
I have these for (almost) every unit now! I love them because I don't have to think about them and attempt to reinvent the wheel each week. It's perfectly aligned with the skill we're working on in Wonders and my kiddos love them. Thanks!
Perfect for my stations!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad they are working out for your stations - I find they work well for that in my classroom too!
