About Digital Distance Learning. Some of the pages are set to the background in Google Slides for students to fill in the text boxes. Some google slides will remain as PDF as they are more of a hands-on activity. The digital version is mainly used for drag and drop activities. As for the PDF version of the drag and drop, you can have students write the correct answers into their respective boxes.

Printing:

Depending on your printer, I recommend you print with the “fit to page” setup rather than default printing. To save paper, I recommend you go to page settings and select “page layout” and print 1 to 2 slides, this way two slides will be printed on one page. Try to print out one page first to see how you like it.

Use rational approximations of irrational numbers to compare the size of irrational numbers, locate them approximately on a number line diagram, and estimate the value of expressions (e.g., π²). For example, by truncating the decimal expansion of √2, show that √2 is between 1 and 2, then between 1.4 and 1.5, and explain how to continue on to get better approximations.
Use square root and cube root symbols to represent solutions to equations of the form 𝘹² = 𝘱 and 𝘹³ = 𝘱, where 𝘱 is a positive rational number. Evaluate square roots of small perfect squares and cube roots of small perfect cubes. Know that √2 is irrational.
