Description

This bundle includes 15 products to teach the subskills of the CCSS 6.EE.C.9:

  1. Unit Rate Equations (Introduction)
  2. Unit Rate Equations (From Multiple Representations)
  3. Solving for Unknown Ratios (Applying Unit Rate Equations)
  4. Graphing Unit Rates
  5. Unit Rate Equation (Currency Conversions)

Each resource is scaffolded to maximize student access and is varied to increase engagement and proficiency. The scaffolds are removed per gradual release to promote student independence. The preview file, also linked here, includes the suggested order of delivery and implementation guide for the sections in each resource. I taught these lessons over the course of 2 weeks for my gen-ed classes and 3 weeks for my intervention students.

Answer keys are included! Please reach out with questions/concerns. Thank you!

Use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another; write an equation to express one quantity, thought of as the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, thought of as the independent variable. Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation. For example, in a problem involving motion at constant speed, list and graph ordered pairs of distances and times, and write the equation 𝘥 = 65𝘵 to represent the relationship between distance and time.
