Description
Unit rates, comparing unit rates, and solving word problems are the focus of these print and digital color by number activities.
- Students solve 15 or 20 unit rates problems, self-check, and color!
- Both print and digital options are included.
Check out the Preview and video demo above to see what's included and to see how the Google Slides version works (students will need to know how to use the "Fill color" feature).
Problems require students to:
- Solve for unit rates/unit prices
- Compare unit prices to determine the better rate/better deal
- Solve word problems (all questions are in word problem form)
In this easy-prep unit rates resource you get:
1) TWO print versions:
Print version A

- Coloring sheet
Print version B
- Problem sheet with 15 questions (less challenging than Version A)
- Coloring sheet – same pattern, different color scheme than Version A
2) One digital version in Slides (could also be used in PPT):
- Same problems and design/colors as print version A – problems and coloring are all on one slide.
- Coloring instructions and link for digital are in the PDF download.
3) Answer keys
4) One coloring page with no numbers, so students can color for fun, create their own color by numbers, or for you to create your own color by number activities for your classes.

What teachers are saying about this resource:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “You make the greatest color by numbers! Kids have to do 'real' math, but are rewarded with coloring... it's a win-win! Perfect for early finishers.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This was a quick and easy way to have students practice what they have learned and provided a decoration for the classroom. I required them to show their work.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I actually used this for my emergency sub plan. While I did not have to use it for emergency purposes, I did offer this as an optional activity for early finishers on a test day. It was a great activity to reinforce a skill while allowing them to have fun!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This was a fun activity to have during one of my guided math stations! My students loved it!”
