This product can be used as an in-class assignment or project for students to show their understanding of unit rates, better buy, equivalent ratios, and graphing.
There are four recipes to use.
Muddy Buddies (Pages 11-15) - I would reserve this one for students that are showing mastery in class.
Chocolate Chip Cookies (Pages 6-10) - For students that show intermediate skills.
Ooey Gooey Brownies (Pages 16-20) - For students that show intermediate skills.
Rice Krispie Treats with Mini M&Ms (Pages 1-5) - For your novice students.
This product also comes with an answer key, pages 21-24.
Each recipe comes with the following:
Page 1: Instructions and the recipe
Page 2: Shopping list in which students have to find the unite rate and determine which is the better buy.
Page 3: Work it Out worksheet for students to show their work in converting measurements of their ingredients for different numbers of servings.
Page 4: A ratio table on finding that amount of an ingredient needed for a certain number of batches. Students then use the coordinate plane given to graph their findings.
Page 5: Recipe cards to fill out for each of the three serving sizes.
