Description
This product is designed to help your students practice finding unit rates using complex fractions. Students will be given 12 problems to solve. There will be three problems per row. Two of the answers will be identical and one answer will be the ODD MAN OUT. If students do not get two matching answers per row, they will need to go back and redo their work. This is an easy to grade activity because students will need to shade in the Odd Man Out. This allows you to do a quick visual check to ensure that students are understanding the concept. It also allows students to self check their own work because they will need to find two matching answers per row.
This activity can be used as homework, guided practice, partner practice, centers, etc.

Very unique and useful resource
Met expectations
Great value
Standards-aligned
I loved using this resource with my students! It was an effective way to support them in checking their own work. The last row forces them to get their fraction answers to simplest form before they could find the odd man out, so this was a great way to reinforce that final step of solving problems with fractions. Thank you!!!!
My students were excited for this resource!

I used this for a test review game and we had so much fun with it. We made it kind of like a reality show where we said "so and so is getting voted off the island". Great way to engage the whole class and can be used in many different ways.
My students enjoyed this activity. They saw it as a challenge to find which problem had a different solution, which made solving the problems fun for them.

CCSS7.RP.A.1
Compute unit rates associated with ratios of fractions, including ratios of lengths, areas and other quantities measured in like or different units. For example, if a person walks 1/2 mile in each 1/4 hour, compute the unit rate as the complex fraction ½/¼ miles per hour, equivalently 2 miles per hour.
