Description

Do your students need to practice computational thinking but you don't always have access to devices?

These debugging worksheets make it easy to bring real coding skills into any classroom, no computers required.

Students work through 11 printable activities that challenge them to spot and fix errors in code sequences, building the kind of logical, systematic thinking that sits at the heart of computer science.

With progressive difficulty levels, the worksheets grow with your learners, making them just as useful for confident coders as they are for beginners discovering algorithms and sequencing for the first time.

Perfect for:

  • STEM lessons and Computer Science classes
  • Hour of Code and STEM Week events
  • Coding clubs and Makerspaces
  • Technology rotations and STEM centers
  • Early finishers and substitute teacher plans
  • Homeschool activities and distance learning
  • Screen free and device free learning days

I used this as an "early finisher" for a group of students who always complete their work 10 minutes before everyone else. I was able to call it coding, so they had automatic buy-in. I will be using again next year!

These activities were a great way to introduce coding skills without needing any technology. My students quickly grasped the concept of "bugs" in algorithms and had fun trying to find and fix the mistakes. The easier worksheets gave them confidence, while the harder ones provided just the right amount of challenge.

Simple but it provided a variety of puzzles that integrated logic, reasoning and simplistic coding language., Good for sub plans and pretty engaging since I was not there that day- most kids didthe assignment. Thank you !
