Description

These uppercase initial sound alphabet flashlight / light table cards are like CVC magic for your SOR literacy centers, Flashlight Fridays, Write the Room activities, or for a whole group activity to introduce letter names and sounds as well as reading words that start with those sounds. This set includes mainly CVC words (except for the vowels cards aren't CVC and a few on other letter cards). Each letter has between 2 - 8 words/images depending on the letter. Once you've grabbed some flashlights or your light table, made and laminated the cards, you can use them year after year.

1. Say the letter name and the sound.

2. Shine a flashlight behind the letter to reveal the images. The students try to figure out or read which word goes with the image they just found and check it on the checklist.

There are also 2 writing pages if you wish to use those as well.

This set is also offered in a BUNDLE with the lowercase set. You can see the BUNDLE here: Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet Letter Recognition Flashlight Cards .

This resource is exactly what I needed! It was well-organized, easy to implement, and saved me so much prep time. The instructions were clear, and my students were highly engaged. my kiddos had so much fun using these at the light table. they were also good for lights out day where students got to use their own flashlights. I've also sent these home to parents so they can work on word skills at home in a fun way.
