Description

Students will apply their knowledge of measurement conversions to find relationships between number pairs. Students will see numbers in tables and need to determine which units of measurement they represent. For example, to see a 1 and a 12 and understand that this is the relationship between feet and inches.

How can we examine 2 numbers and determine which units of measurement they represent?

Each Cohesion Education video has been designed by teachers for parents! All videos include:

  • A How-To section in which the concept is modeled similar to the classroom
  • A Student Misconceptions section where we dispel some of those common problems students encounter

Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in.
