Using Deductive Reasoning to Solve Logic Puzzles Interactive Google Slides
Share

Description

Included in this product are Google Slides that allow students to interactively solve logic puzzles using deductive reasoning. There is an introduction slide about deductive reasoning and how to solve logic puzzles and then there are specific directions for how to complete the assignment. There are 4 logic puzzles that students will solved that are ranked at the 3/5 difficulty level (don't let that fool you, I spent HOURS trying to figure out the answers to some of these)! There is a slide for each logic puzzle with the link to the puzzle on Brainzilla's website and then the corresponding question for the logic puzzle. They will be able to type their answers directly into the Google Slides. The answer key is on the last 4 slides of the presentation.

The best way I would suggest for this assignment to be done is either giving students a complete work day in class, or assigning this over a long period of time or over a break (Thanksgiving or winter) so it allows them to stop and start back up without getting too frustrated.

I used this with one of my students who struggles with deductive and inductive reasoning skills. This was extremely helpful and allowed us to work through each problem. My student did very well with this activity and enjoyed it very much.
