As teachers start to integrate teaching for proficiency and using novels in the foreign language classroom, they are navigating how to assess as well. I have used both novels and IPAs in my classroom. My goal is to share how I created my own IPAs, so each teacher feels comfortable creating one for the novel that they are using.

In this product, I also include the rubric that I use for levels 1-3 for interpretive reading/listening, interpersonal speaking or writing and presentational speaking and writing.
