I use KhanAcademy.org (FREE!) with my students for a weekly homework grade. They create usernames and passwords at the beginning of the year and sync to my teacher account when joining.

Students are given Monday-Sunday to complete x-amount of minutes in their grade-level (or differentiated pathway). I can assign content that we are working on in class or, they can work through grade-level content at their own pace.

1.) Khan Academy gives me immediate feedback and data around student understanding and I am quickly able to identify struggling students in particular topics

2.) Khan Academy provides embedded supports (videos, articles) for students, so they are reliant on a teacher or parent to complete work outside of the classroom

3.) It gives students an experience with a resource that will be available to them through college-level topics (and beyond) so they can literally learn anything they want, on their own time.
