Description
This is a collection of 12 Line Graphs.
- These problems attack unit rates from a variety of different angles
- This lesson can be used for homework, in class, test review, or as a group activity.
- I have found it to be an excellent check for understanding. Students that crush this activity almost always have a strong understanding of unit rates.
Students will analyze a given graph then:
- Find the unit rate
- Create an equation to find the value of y
- Find the value of a random y value when given two x values. For example, if the unit rate is $20 per shirt the students might need to find the cost of 9 and 34 shirts.
- Find the value of a random x value when given an x value. For example, if the unit rate is $20 per shirt how many shirts can you get for $240?
- Complete a table using the unit rate.
The last two graphs use fractions/mixed numbers
Four of the graphs have unit rates with a decimal
Six of the graphs have unit rates with whole numbers
