Description

You want for your students to be engaged, and of course you want for them to have fun. But you also need to teach the standards, increase the rigor, and build meaningful relationships with your kiddos. Do we even have time for games anymore?

I would argue that, yes - we absolutely do.

In fact, I'd go further than that and say that games are essential.

A well-planned and facilitated game can help you:

  • Bring down math anxiety and related stress in your students
  • Help kids better understand otherwise difficult topics
  • Break down bigger concepts into smaller, more digestible chunks
  • Build a closer relationship to the kids who might otherwise be difficult for you to connect with

As a former camp counselor and then camp director of over 10 years, then teacher for over 6 years, I've seen first-hand the power of experiential learning and recreation blended into education.

And as we walk further into the 21st Century, this kind of learning is necessary.

In this short training, you'll learn why games are such an effective instructional tool, and how you can use them to teach those harder math concepts.

You'll also learn several games, as well as game modifications, that you could start playing with your class tomorrow.
