Description
Teach your students the five steps of using sources with this .doc lesson handout. Students: identify, differentiate, analyze, and evaluate sources to draw the best conclusion possible.
In this activity, students look at a reading in our TCI textbook entitled "Who was the real Columbus?" If you do not have TCI, you can:
1) have students locate and read these sources online (adding to your using sources skills!)
2) customize the worksheet so that your students look at sources available to you and answer a question related to your content
3) simply use the first page to teach only the steps
I have students place this at the front of their interactive notebook for reference throughout the year.
