This download includes short passages with questions that ask for and teach students how to use text evidence.
Students read the passage and follow the prompts to form a cohesive response using support from the text.
The last passage and question printable has the students take what they have learned with the scaffolded questions and complete their own response modeling the same format.
This packet also includes posters and worksheets to guide students through their own novels. Once students master the concept in the small passages, they can use the guided worksheets and posters to pull from their text.

This is a great resource, but it definitely needs some fine tuning. There are several spelling and grammar mistakes. Please do an updated version.
