Description

Students with Executive Functioning Deficits and Learning Disabilites often struggle with understanding math word problems. Sometimes it helps to visualize and draw to help decide which operation(s) to use.

Use this desk reminder to help improve independence in starting, planning, and following through with solving word problems.

Helpful hint: I have also used this strategy to help bridge the gaps in a student's understanding of what the 4 operations even look like with objects and/or drawings. This can really help when making the jump to solving word problems.
