VCE BIOLOGY DOODLE NOTES: Enzyme-Substrate Interaction Models
These notes are designed specifically for the VCE Biology Unit 3 study design (2016-2021) key knowledge area: Structure and Regulation of Biochemical Pathways.
I will be uploading doodle notes under each key knowledge area, and each document will address at least one dot-point from the study design; this dot-point is illustrated within the notes so that the students can make relevant connections with their learning.

These notes detail the following and more:
- The interactions that help stabilise the substrate and the active site
- The lock and key model
- The induced-fit model
These notes address: #4.1 The role of enzymes as protein catalysts in biochemical pathways; NB: I have numbered each dot point for my own reference. As there are 14 key knowledge areas within the course, each number is based from this. For instance, there are 3 dot-points under 'Plasma Membranes', so they are numbered: #1.1, #1.2, #1.3. This pattern is consistent with all of my resources.
