This 5th Grade Math Valentine's Day Digital Escape Room is a fun way to engage students as they practice one-step and two-step multiplication and division problems. In this Google Form escape room, students must complete 6 multi-step critical thinking word problem tasks to find the codes they need to save the Valentine's day party and pick out the perfect gift for their teacher. This resource is LOW-PREP and self-checking, so students can work through it independently. There is a complete teacher guide with in-depth instructions for set-up and an answer key.  Enjoy this engaging and immersive experience as students save the Valentine's day party!

This Resource Includes:

  • Link to Google Form escape room activity with 6 creative multiplication and division puzzle tasks for students to complete. 
  • You DO NOT need Google Classroom to participate in this activity (but it will work with Google Classroom perfectly fine)! As long as you have internet access, you should be good to go!
  • This activity is LOW-PREP and SELF-CHECKING!!
  • Printable student answer worksheet
  • In-depth teacher instructions for setting up and using this activity in your classroom to make your life easier!

How to use this resource in your classroom:

  • Use this AFTER you have learned about multiplication and division with your students. This is great independent practice!
  • Send students the Google Form link (instructions on how to do this are included).
  • Students will work through each task and record answers on their printed worksheet.
  • For each task: read the instructions carefully, solve the problem, and enter the code in the box (helpful hints included).

Activity Variations-

  • This activity is perfect for math centers or guided math activities!
  • This activity can be done independently, with a partner or small group, or as a whole class.
  • This game will take 45-60 minutes to complete, depending on how comfortable students are with completing multiplication & division problems.
