⭐ How to Use: ⭐

With my students, I follow these steps:

1. Introduce the holiday (Valentine's Day) by reading trade picture books and watching videos. (Not included in this download.) I find these resources at my local public library!
2. Read the digital book (included) together either whole group or small group. (Common Core Standard RI.K.10)
3. Review the vocabulary using the printable book (students read with a partner, a teacher, or can be sent home to share with a family member). (Common Core Standard L.K.4)
4. Have students circle or highlight sight words (Do, you, see, the) (Common Core Standard RF.K.3.C)
5. Have students point to each word as they read from left to right (the version with tracking dots can help with this). (Common Core Standards RF.K.1.A and RF.K.1.C)
