Description
Looking for activities to bring Valentine's Day fun into your classroom? Your students will enjoy this competitive game as they review rational numbers and eight mazes to practice operations with positive and negative fractions & decimals. I just added MORE to this bundle: Multiplying Positive & Negative Fractions Scavenger Hunt. Watch the video preview on the page for the game to see how it works! My students have loved it and I know yours will too!
Eight Mazes:
- Positive & Negative Fractions: This is a fun way to have students practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative fractions (including whole numbers, improper fractions, and mixed numbers).
- Positive & Negative Decimals: More mazes to give students the chance to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative decimals.
- Easy to Check: The mazes allows the students to self-check as they go as well as for the teacher to quickly check at a glance.
- Ready to Use: Just print, copy, and go! Or send students a digital copy to complete.
- In Class or at Home: Could be used in class or sent home as homework.
Rational Numbers Review Game:
- Very Little Prep Needed: This is a ready to play review game - the only prep you'll need to do is make copies of the student sheet and have whiteboards ready for the students. Although, you could bypass making copies and just have the students use whiteboards. Or you could just have them do it on their paper and bypass whiteboards - lots of options based on your preference.
- Instructions Included: Teacher instructions as well as student instructions are included. For the hearts to show instead of the point values you need to view in presentation mode - then you're good to go. Watch this preview video for more explanation
- Review Several Concepts: The 16 problems in this game allow students to review: Operations with fractions (including positive and negative fractions, fractions and whole numbers, and mixed numbers). Changing fractions to decimals. Ordering and comparing fractions and decimals. The way scoring occurs will allow students to also practice operations with integers.
Multiplying Positive & Negative Fractions Scavenger Hunt:
- Ready to Use: Includes 20 Problem Cards (each in color, B&W, and no clipart), a work page for students to record each problem, show work and write the answer, and the answer key!
- Easy to Check: Even if students don't have time to complete all 20 problems, you can check the work they were able to complete by making sure they were going in the right order.
