Description

Valentine's Day Math Activities (Google Activity) is a fun way to practice key 6th grade math concepts while celebrating Valentine's Day! This comprehensive review highlights rations, equivalent ratios, unit rate, comparing prices, unit conversions, multiplying fractions, dividing decimals, creating expressions and equations, and much more. The product is ready for you to add to your Google Drive and assign on Google Classroom. All tasks are aligned with Common Core Standards and are designed around standardized questions will see on the state test!

Student's will pretend that they are in charge of helping to plan a class Valentine's Day Party and will need to complete a variety of tasks to ensure the party is a success. Tasks include organizing party invitations, finding the best price on decorations, determining the ratio of candy hearts in a box, comparing boxes of chocolate and converting its units, making sure that all students receive a valentine and determining the winner of the Cupid Games at the party.

Compatible with OpenUp Resources 6th grade curriculum for math. Designed around Unit 2: Introducing Ratios and Unit 3: Unit Rates and Percentages, Unit 4: Dividing Fractions, Unit 5: Arithmetic in Base Ten, Unit 6: Expressions and Equations, and Unit 7: Rational Numbers.
