Are you looking for a self-checking digital Valentine math activity to help students practice 2-step word problems? Students are presented with 12 Valentine-themed word problems. This is a DIGITAL activity for use with Google Sheets.

The digital picture scramble is self-checking. Correct answers turn green and incorrect answers red. Each question is presented in a task card screen, that students access through a drop-down. As students begin to answer the 2-Step word problems the picture begins to unscramble. There is also a percentage progress bar which grows as students answer correctly.

This assignment works great for intervention, with age-appropriate clip art and word problems. Students will feel successful and independent as they solve the 2-step word problems and watch the percentage bar increase and picture unscramble.  

To encourage students to show work and prevent guessing, have students answer the questions on the recording sheet first. Then input into the computer to check answers. The recording sheet can then be kept for data collection of solving 2 step word problems.
