Description

This Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets set works on addition, subtraction and multiplication of fractions and whole numbers, factors and multiples. Use understanding of fractions to add and subtract fractions (with like denominators) and multiply fractions by whole numbers. Students will also use their skills to answer questions about factors and multiples. There are 4 total activities in this Valentine’s Day Math Code Breaker Pack. Each activity has a Valentine’s Day themed joke and the students will crack the code to answer it by solving the problems correctly. The Print and Digital versions are both included.

What’s Included:

Valentine Crack the Code: Students will work through simple one digit by one digit multiplication problems. They need to solve for each image, given a clue. Once they solve what the images are, they are able to then solve the rest of the problems. All problems are multiplication or multiplication and addition or subtraction. All of which are on single digits.

Love Bug Crack the Code: Students will practice multiplying fractions by whole numbers. They do not need to know how to simplify the fractions. Answers will be left as improper fractions, when applicable.

Cupcake Crack the Code: Adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators. Students must understand what a whole looks like (EX: 3/3 = 1). Some answers will be left in improper fraction form, however, they will not need to be able to convert them to mixed numbers.

Crack the Code Love Birds: Students will practice with factors and multiples. They will need to list out and count how many factors the given numbers have in order to crack the code. They will also need to think about multiples and multiply to figure out the other letters.

The kids really enjoyed these puzzles. They were just enough where they could work on them independently but still be challenged. Thank you!
