Valentine’s Theme Count & Match File Folder Game | Early Learning Math Activities:

This Valentine’s Themed file folder game is a super cute early learning activity!
Your students will count how many hearts are on each flashcard and then match it to the correct numerical number that is on each Dinosaur. It’s a great way for your students to practice one-to-one correspondence as well as number recognition practice 1-10.

Objective: To help your students use one-to-one correspondence and count different amounts of hearts from 1-10. This activity will also help your students identify numbers 1-10.

Prep: This file folder game is simple to download and print. Once printed, you will attach the 2 pages with numerical numbers on them to the file folder as well as the front cover page. After that, cut out and laminate the number flashcards. Once that is done, I recommend putting a velcro dot on each heart attached to the file folder as well as on the back of the flashcards. This will make the matching process easier for both you and your students!

Directions: Once the file folder is put together, your students will count how many hearts are on each flashcard and then attach it to the corresponding number.
