Description
This game is UNFAIR and the kids love it!
8 teams answer every question!
The Big Unfair Game is a No Prep PreCalculus review game where students earn points for answering questions, but the points can be positive or negative! The goal is to have the score the closest to zero at the end of the game.
The game is playable with the whole class together, or you can play it as small groups. All questions and answers are included. This version is High School Math, PreCalculus, Vectors and Parametric Equations, Vector Definitions and Operations, Vector Definitions and Operations, Problems include Vector Basics, Vector Addition and Subtraction, and Scalar Multiplication.
It is a digital resource, no printouts required. All questions and answers use text and mathematical notation (formulas), and there are no diagrams, charts, graphics or visual aids.
How It Works:
- The game runs entirely on PowerPoint (will work great if you run it in Google Slides too), and you can replace the questions and answers if you like by deleting the image and typing in the white box.
- The goal is to finish the game closest to zero.
- Make up to 8 teams and then proceed to the first question screen.
- Every team answers every question.
- The answer is provided after the question.
- Once every one has answered, tap a letter to see each team's points (positive or negative).
- Add the team's points to their score if they got the answer correct.
- Add the opposite to their score if they got it wrong.
- Keep score on the board.
- Then proceed to the next question.
- Closest to zero wins the game!!
- Questions vary in difficulty and the answer is provided after each question.
The game will run on:
- iPads that run PowerPoint and Google Slides (free apps)
- Smartboards
- Projectors
- Desktops
- Laptops
- Any device that runs PowerPoint or Google Slides
This game can be played together as a class using a smartboard/projector, or it can be played by individuals and small groups on iPads or computers that run PowerPoint or Google Slides.
No additional licenses required for the students in your class!
All of the images and colors are included just as you see it. Each user needs to purchase their own license, and the files may not be shared or sold to anyone, but you are free to make as many versions as you like for your own use.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- This game runs on PowerPoint, and will also run on Google Slides
- A very small number of schools disable the animations and hyperlinks in their PowerPoint.
- The solution to this is to use a different device, such as a laptop or tablet that runs PowerPoint.
- Here are 2 test games you can use to check if your PowerPoint will run all of my games:
- Test GRUDGEBALL
- Test THE UNFAIR GAME
