This video lesson introduces how to round numbers to the nearest ten or the nearest hundred. Each example is presented using three methods: a visual example using an umbrella, a number line, and method based upon the rule for place values: if the digit to the right is 4 or higher, keep it the same; if the digit to the right is 5 or higher, move up one.
