Here, you have a two-column note template that includes prompts on the left-hand side. Two-column notes are not for everyone; I get that... However, this models for the students one way to disseminate information and organize it in an effective manner. This will help the kids find their own way to deconstruct material, find what works best for them. It might involve two column notes, then again, it might not!! :) This particular template covers A and E Biography's, "Mark Twain: His Amazing Adventures". If you do not own a copy, you may be able to find this particular film on-line or check it out from your local library branch. The library, I find, always has a great selection of educational materials. The two-column template will stand on its own too; after all, the information is similar no matter what :) This documentary is a small part of a bigger unit I have made available on Mark Twain and Realism. Check it out :)
