Description

This lesson plan is a unit with all the necessary worksheets and information to create a video project in 10 steps. File types: PDF, pptx.

In this package you will find:
★ A complete lesson plan
★ Worksheets for all 10 steps
★ A thorough teacher's guide
★ Fully editable resources
★ A suggested rubric
★ Peer feedback form (Two stars and a wish)

There are ready-made steps & worksheets for videos such as: information videos, music videos, acting videos, dancing videos, combinations of these, or other types.

You can combine the tech project with other writing projects, social science, history, geography, and so on. We also include arts by making props, sets and costumes. I think what I like the most about this unit is that you can expand it to fit your needs. This can be a short project, or you can go "all in" and let it span over several weeks, depending on what you wish to achieve. The lesson plans cover 14 lessons. Note that the worksheets may support all kinds of projects, big or small, but they do not cover the actual shooting/editing of video. They cover the organization and planning part of having such a project. Suggestions for shooting/editing are made in the Teacher's Guide (included)

I should first say that while I realize this resource is geared towards a bit younger age group, I had been looking for something like this for my high school students. When I found this I thought it would work (with a warning to them that the design is a bit childish), however it still worked wonderfully when helping my high school students organize their thoughts for their video. We didn't get to finish the project (thanks corona), but it was a great assistance for the time we did get to work. I would definitely recommend this product, even to those with older students.
