Description

Topic of this video: Rational Root Theorem & Conjugate Root Theorem

Unit: Polynomials

Course: Algebra 2

Video Duration: 9 minutes, 54 seconds

This video:

  • Introduces and explains the Rational Root Theorem
  • Uses formal notation to explain the rational root theorem
  • Shows two examples of finding rational roots using the theorem
  • Gives and explains the conjugate root theorem
  • Goes over an example of given a irrational and complex root, find the remaining roots

Hello!  I created this video for students to learn this topic independently.  This video is a tool you can use to teach, preview, reteach, or just have as an additional resource.   The video uses student-friendly language and explains topics as simply as possible.  If you’re teaching remotely, this video is invaluable.

The video consists of my hand-written pdf file of my notes,  and as I explain each concept and example, I point an arrow to the work I’m explaining.   In the videos, I do not show my face, nor mention any names, nor show any photos, just the math is shown and my voice is heard.  Thus, this video can be used in any classroom.  All videos are in English.  When you purchase this, you will receive a zip file which includes the video and the pdf of the notes which are explained.   What you see as thumbnails for this product is the pdf file.

I usually assign a video as homework and ask students to write down everything for their own notes.  I then check their notes as evidence that they completed the assignment- but of course, you’re welcome to use this resource in any way you want.  During in-person schooling, I have a flipped classroom and my videos are crucial to its success.  In remote learning, I use the videos for every topic I introduce, and students find them extremely helpful.

I hope my videos can help you out too!
