Description
PowerPoint presentation on Viral Replication.
This is a subject that I have found students have a hard time learning and I have found this powerpoint to be extremely useful in my classroom as students have the ability to visualize and discuss what is happening as a cell is being attacked by a virus.
This colorful presentation includes an easy to follow animation of the steps of viral replication and includes the following information:
- description and animation of the 4 easy steps of viral replication using bacteriophage T4 as an example
- a discussion of the lysogenic and lytic pathways
- an electron micrograph of bacteriophages attacking a bacterial cell
Please see my site for the "Viral Replication Powerpoint - student worksheet" that is available that is exactly the same as the presentation with blanks for students to fill in as they watch & discuss the presentation.
I have found my powerpoints to be great tools in the classroom as students have the opportunity to actually see and discuss images instead of simply words. I have sold this particular powerpoint to over 100 teachers in Canada and have had great reviews for my work.
Thanks!
