Description

Do you teach the Wilson Reading System program to your students? Teaching decoding (phonics) virtually was the hardest hurdle I had to get over during virtual teaching. Through trial and error, I have created a Virtual Decoding Student Journal that you can use with your students through each part of a WRS lesson.

How do you use it?

Provide each student with a copy of the virtual decoding student journal. Import in your sentences, word list charts, and story into the journal for each day. The tiles for Block 2 are able to be moved and the students can spell the word or select the correct sound. Also, I created a virtual word list charting sheet. The students can drag down the box to show the correct number of words they read and "color" it in any color they would like!

It does take practice getting the students use to this format but once you get out all the kinks, I found this very successful with my special education students!
