This assignment was created and used for my "Cabinetmaking classes" during distance learning. Normally during this class we would have had students build these cabinets hands-on, but during distance learning we developed this assignment for students to virtually build this kitchen and learn basic cabinetmaking skills and to learn how to 3D design using a free online program called Sketch Up. We had over 350 students complete this assignment during distance learning and it worked AWESOME! Many, many hours of fine tuning went into this assignment and it worked great for kids to use!

This assign takes students about 10 hours to complete and goes step-by-step with instructional videos showing how to do every aspect of this assignment. The video instructions that are linked to each step are videos from my you tube account and are of me teaching (voice only) all the skills necessary for students to independently complete this assignment with next to ZERO teacher help.

This assignment does assume students know how to create an account and login into sketchup.com and start drawing. Note: This is the second assignment in our Virtual Kitchen Drawing assignment series. This assignment works using the free sketchup.com link and works well on a chrome book or other devices.

I have been teaching 20 years and this is one of the best virtual assignments out school district has ever use. You will love it!
