Description

I use this behavior chart as a way to manage behavior of one student. Laminate all of the papers and cut the activities out. Use an Expo marker to color in the smiles The student must earn 3 smiles in order to pick the last activity of the day. Every time they demonstrate appropriate behavior they will color in a smiley face. As they increase appropriate behavior the teacher can increase the amount of smiles the student must earn. If the student has inappropriate behavior then I tell them to fill in a frowny face. This indicates that they will miss 5 minutes of the activity. For every frowny face, add additional 5 minutes. If a student receives 5 similes in one day then all of their frowns get wiped away and they do not have to sit out at all. It is a way to show them that even with a few bad behaviors they can still earn smiles and have a better day.
