Description

Visual timers are a great way to help students manage their day! Whether it's staying on task, managing their time, or transitioning between activities, a countdown timer is a handy tool for teaching students to self regulate.

This resource includes 8 spring themed visual timers:

  • 30 seconds - frog
  • 1 minute - bird and worm
  • 2 minutes - butterfly
  • 3 minutes - rain shower
  • 5 minutes - bunny
  • 10 minutes - duck
  • 15 minutes - kite
  • 20 minutes - bike ride

Each timer runs through PowerPoint. Just click the play button and the rest takes care of itself.

Each screen shows a clock with the minutes and seconds left. There is also a set of spring themed items. As the time counts down, the clock changes and an item disappears. When time is up, music will play and students will see a fun animation.

The 30 second and 1, 2, and 3 minute timers count down in one second increments. The 5 minute timer counts down in five second increments. The 10, 15, and 20 minute timers count down in ten second increments. The timings are already set. You do not need to adjust anything.

My students love the different visuals that they can use to follow the time as it runs out. They especially like when the timer runs out and the clipart does a dance while the music plays. It helps them to get a better understanding for time, as it nears time to prepare to move to another activity. --Thank You
