Description

Visual Duration Maps are perfect for students who have difficulty with transitions. They can be used to show a student how many tasks are left before a break, or how many boxes are left before a task or activity is ending. For example, a student can be shown that they have 5 more tasks to complete before receiving a break. They can also be used for minutes left. For example, "4 more boxes until all done blocks". This resource has multiple different versions of visual duration maps so it can easily be individualized to meet the needs of any student.

This duration map template has been so helpful with one of my students who was having a hard time sitting through any length of lesson. We have been using the template that uses PECS symbols to indicate what activity is currently happening and what comes next and I just cut out small squares to use and take off to show how long she still needs to sit.
