Working memory is a crucial skill that needs to be developed early age. For some students, this skill develops later on in their lives. If their working memory is low, how can we as teachers expect them to retain any information that we teach? Helping students improve visual memory helps them improve reading and learning skills, including working memory.
Looking for fun engaging memory task cards for your students? These Halloween Memory task cards will help develop your student’s working memory skills by improving their ability to recall information (images) seen visually. Included in this resource are 28 task cards (Character: Halloween treat bag, eating a yummy treat), an 8.5 by 11 interactive board to place interactive candy/treat pieces on, and images of interactive treat items.
INSTRUCTIONS:
I recommend setting a timer from 5 to 20 seconds (or more depending on what your student needs), when the time is up, flip the card over and instruct students to place the food (from memory) on the interactive board.
These can be used independently, in small groups, and for one-on-one teaching instruction.
How to assemble this resource:
Print on cardstock for longer-lasting materials, laminate, and cut. You can print, laminate, and cut the interactive board and use it alone or glue it to a file folder and laminate it for a file folder game.
