Description

Working memory is a crucial skill that needs to be developed early age. For some students, this skill develops later on in their lives. If their working memory is low, how can we as teachers expect them to retain any information that we teach? Helping students improve visual memory helps them improve reading and learning skills, including working memory.

Looking for fun engaging visual memory task cards for your students? These Create a Lunch Visual Memory task cards will help develop your student’s visual memory skills by improving their ability to recall information (images) seen visually.

☛ INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Place the task card (face up) and set a timer for 5 to 20 seconds (or more depending on what your student needs), when the time is up, flip the card over and instruct student(s) to place the food (from memory) on the lunch tray.

  • These can be used independently, in small groups, and for one-on-one teaching instruction.

How to assemble this resource:

Print on cardstock for longer-lasting materials, laminate, and cut. You can print, laminate, and cut the lunch tray and use it alone or glue it to a file folder and laminate it for a file folder game.

· 4 pages of healthy lunch items

· 5 different colored lunch trays, 1 black and white lunch tray
