Description
This packet includes over 100 pages of worksheets of increasing complexity (2x3 grids up to 4x5 grids).
Students can either copy the dots from the model (addressing visual spatial and visual motor integration skills) or they can copy the dots from memory by looking carefully at the model for 30 seconds, then therapist flips model over and student has to produce model from memory (addressing visual spatial, visual memory, and visual motor integration skills).
I've laminated the worksheets so I have an easy go-to activity with minimal prepping for months to come. I also switch it up with fun variations to work on extra skills. For example, instead of just having students use markers or bingo dabbers to copy the designs, I've also had them use stickers (pincer grasp, bilateral coordination), small coins (palm-to-finger translation skills), cheerios or other small edibles (work on pincer grasp), using chopsticks or tweezers to place small objects (hand strengthening) et cetera.
At the end of each section is one page of blank grid boxes so your and/or your students can create your own design pattern.
