Description

Visual recipes make it easy to teach and practice cooking skills in the classroom and at home. This bundle gives you access to our existing library of visual recipes (right now, we have 110+!). As we add more, you can expect to see them added here!

Each recipe is broken into simple steps, includes real photos of each step, stages of preparation, in-depth teaching instructions, and varies across skill and comfort levels! We have many no-bake recipes in addition to more intermediate and advanced recipes that require access to a stovetop or oven.

ACROSS AGES AND SUPPORT NEEDS

Can be used across all ages, support needs, and abilities. Visual recipes are for everyone! But especially helpful for those who need more visuals in the kitchen of what to do, when, and broken down steps.

IDEAS FOR USE

You can use this resource in a multitude of ways:

  • Life Skills + Cooking lessons in the classroom or at home
  • Cooking days in the classroom (e.g., Food Friday)

PROMOTING NEURODIVERSITY + FUTURE-FOCUSED WORK

Our visual recipes start with the visual, which can be a strength and/or more beneficial for neurodivergent individuals. Additionally, they help the individual stay organized throughout the cooking process without requiring additional mental energy it can take to calculate and keep track of where a recipe is going.
