Share

Description

These 102 + 102 (204 total) visual schedule and daily routine cards or labels can be helpful with your new Vietnamese refugee students from Vietnam who struggle with English as a second language (ESL, EFL, ELL). These translation cards have the phrases and words in both English and Vietnamese. And the English only cards help get your student away from translating once they become more familiar with the language on the cards. Welcome and help your new students feel at home, learn your daily routines and class schedules in your classroom with these translations. The cards are in five categories:

  • messages (welcome to the country, welcome to our school...)
  • instructions (line up, sit down, find a partner...)
  • subjects (social studies, music, science...)
  • places (classroom, playground, home...)
  • basics (yes, no, are you okay, toilet paper, pencil...)

This Vietnamese to English language bundle (of two resources) is great for you as a classroom teacher, support teacher, ESL teacher or school councilor.

The backs of the cards are included. You may also use one set of cards as the backs of the other set. The student can use the translations when needed, and flip the cards over to go directly to English when stronger in the language. You may print the cards in color or black and white.

These translated phrases and words are helpful to have at the ready, to be able to communicate with your new students from Vietnam or other Vietnamese speaking areas in the world, who may be new arrivals or immigrants into the country.
