Students are always looking for ways to make up lost points when they "bomb" the vocab quizzes, at least in my classroom. This is an alternate assignment I offer to allow them to do so. After all, I want them to learn the vocab so they have a better understanding of what we are doing in class, not to mention ACTs, SATs, etc. I have left off how many points they can earn on this easy to replicate worksheet - that is something for you to decide. I stress that definitions should be "in your own words" not copied out of a dictionary.
