Description
When working on volume and surface area of three dimensional shapes it's easy for students to skip steps. Do your students need a visual way to keep track of the shapes and steps they are working on? This product is designed for students who need visual differentiation or accommodations for volume and surface area.
Formula Charts:
Three separate formula charts are included. Each chart has a visual for the 3D shape to make it easier for students to find the right formula. There is a volume formula chart, a surface area formula chart, and a chart that combines both volume and surface area on one chart. This allows for flexibility in case your students find too many formulas on one chart to be too much.
Practice Pages:
Each problem is given it's own page to reduce confusion and overwhelm. The practice pages include a step by step organizer to walk students through the processes so every part gets completed. There is also an example page for volume and surface area that allows students to have a quick reference guide to help remind them visually of what they need to do. There are six volume problems and five surface area problems. Answer keys are included.
Shapes Included:
Volume:
- Rectangular Prism
- Cube
- Cone
- Sphere
- Cylinder
- Rectangular Pyramid
Surface Area:
- Rectangular Prism
- Cube
- Cone
- Sphere
- Cylinder
Standards Alignment
This product can align with many middle school standards for geometry. Listed are standards that this product can be used with for both Texas TEKS and Common Core. Because the sheets have one problem each, you can provide only the problems that relate to the relevant standard.
