In this smartboard lesson students will be introduced to both sounds of the letter O. After reviewing both the short and long sound of the letter O, students will use letters on the slides to spell short O CVC words. Students will then be introduced to the "magical E" to spell long O words with the CVCe pattern. Students will also sort short and long O words in a two column chart. In this lesson there are links to a few video clips and songs. There is also a printable PDF that can be used for independent practice.
