Make learning shapes fun and engaging with this Winter Shape Match with Buttons math center! This hands-on activity is perfect for helping young learners practice 2D shape recognition while strengthening fine motor skills using real buttons.
Designed for Kindergarten (and easily adaptable for Pre-K), this low-prep math center is ideal for small groups, independent work, or morning tubs.
Shapes included:
- circle, heart, triangle, square, oval, rectangle, star, and octagon
What's included:
- 3 Igloo shape matching mats (COLOR)
- 3 Igloo shape matching mats (BLACK & WHITE)
How to use this resource:
Provide students with real buttons or plastic shape buttons. Students choose a mat, identify each shape shown, and place the matching buttons on top of the correct shape inside the igloos. Encourage students to name each shape as they match them.
