In science, cross-cutting relationships, often called cross-cutting concepts, are broad, unifying ideas that connect different scientific disciplines and concepts. They help students see how different scientific ideas are related and how they can be applied in various fields. These concepts are more than just facts, they are big ideas that help students understand how science works.
In all there are multiple paragraphs in the article. Each essay has been edited and furnished with a specific graphic depicting the subject matter. Questions pertain to the article, and a full answer key is included.
After a reading passage, there are ten questions pulled from the reading passage. I pass out this NO PREP homework assignment as a review before the student's assessment, but it is a great resource for substitutes as well.
This resource does a great job of showing students the interrelationship of each STEM discipline, and the value of studies across the curriculum.
