Description
Weather is the atmosphere's heat or cold, wetness or dryness, calm or storm, clearness or cloudiness. It includes temperature, pressure, humidity, clouds, wind, precipitation, and fog. We always have weather. Meteorologists prepare forecasts or predictions and warnings. I purchased this during quarantine-schooling for my 9-year old third grade son who loves severe weather. It is available for his twin and my 5th grade daughter too, if a particular topic piques their interest. What I love is that it can be adapted to any age level, and the student can go as deep (or shallow) with it as s/he wishes. I have my kids look up each "new word," and then they write five sentences answering one of the questions at the bottom. Every day we've done this so far, my weather-loving son has gone way further in the topic than I expected - and with some terms I had never heard of before. He loves it! Double bonus: he has ADHD and very low reading comprehension, so anything like this that gets him interested is awesome!
