Description

Combines reading multiple authentic sources about a high-interest theme with self-grading standardized ELA test prep questions! Buy the bundle to use them throughout the entire the school year!

MAJOR TIME SAVER! SUPER INTERESTING TO STUDENTS! FASCINATING THEME! CONTAINS BOTH FICTION AND NONFICTION TEXTS.

In this WebQuest Test #5, students read about life on the frontier in the 1800s in a drama, several informational texts, a song (and video), and two fictional literary nonfiction narratives, answering questions as they go. They even learn some American history. They practice their literacy and critical thinking skills to answer some SBAC, PARCC, STAAR style questions (multiple choice, multiple select, short answer, longer written response, etc.) SELF-GRADING = MAJOR TIME SAVER!

You and your students are in good hands and will be SO READY for any ELA assessment thrown your way because I have ten years experience as a contracted ELA Assessment Writer. Anyone can write a test, but it's not as easy as it looks, and it takes skill to do it right. And how awesome is this self-grading thing? So awesome!

ALIGNS TO SO MANY ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS STANDARDS

Incorporates multiple standards in reading informational text, reading literature, literacy in social studies and history, as well as language and speaking & listening. All the texts tie together to give a well-rounded, high-interest view of what life was like for homesteaders on the prairie. The test takes about 20-30 minutes.

EASY DISTANCE LEARNING ON ANY DEVICE: Students will be using an online Google Form to take a self-grading test which guides them to access several authentic, safe, informative sources online. The reading will be thorough, but the way it is set up will feel very manageable to students and not be overwhelming. These have been tested on a variety of students to get all the kinks out. The kids told me how much they liked this one! For real!

When you buy the bundle, you'll get WebQuest Tests to use for the rest of the year! The first two are FREE!
